Remember where you came from

from the womb of the Mother
the woman
she is the elemental force
for your very creation
look every women in the eye
she is a daughter, lover, mother, grandmother
remember where you came from

the way we treat this earth is one in the same as we treat our women
have you forgotten the sacredness
the one who bears you water, fruit, and air to sustain your life
remember the innate innocence in your soul
do you?
flowing locks of long luscious hair in the breeze
mimics the ebb and flow of the oceans currents
pulling us back into the tenderness of our hearts
she whispers to you softly "come back, come back"
before being swept away in the undertow of our own ignorance
remember to look up at the night sky
do you?
darkened sky sprinkled in twinkling stars
like the sparkling eyes of your beloved
intertwined in the making of love
reflecting to each other the light of the universe
remember the love that we all are
do you?
when you look upon her body
look at her curves as the mountains in which she had the strength to move
as the softness we all carry
not just for pleasure and delight
but as a reminder of your own soul
